Peter Obi Expresses Condolences Following Zaria Central Mosque Tragedy

Peter Obi, the Labour Party (LP) candidate in the 2023 presidential election, has responded to the tragic incident at Zaria Central Mosque in Kaduna State, where a wall collapse claimed the lives of several Muslim worshippers and left others injured on Friday evening.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
As per earlier reports, at least four people lost their lives, and seven sustained injuries in the unfortunate event.

The former Governor of Anambra State also extended his condolences to the entire community of Zaria and the people of Kaduna State, expressing his solidarity in their time of sorrow.
Obi’s message read: “With profound sadness, I learned of the tragedy in Zaria, where worshippers lost their lives as a wall collapsed during Asr prayers at the Zaria Central Mosque. May Allah grant the departed souls forgiveness and Aljanna
I pray for swift recovery of the injured. My condolences to the families affected, and the Zaria Emirate and Kaduna State community.”
In an earlier response to the incident, the Emir of Zazzau, Mallam Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, revealed that the victims were performing the Asr prayer around 4 pm when the mosque’s wall gave way.
He shared that a crack in the wall had been noticed the previous day, and plans were being arranged for repairs when the tragic collapse occurred.
The monarch conveyed his condolences to the bereaved families and instructed that prayers should be held outside the mosque while repairs were undertaken.
