Tinubu Sanctions Further Diplomatic Talks By Islamic Delegation with Niger Republic Junta

Led by Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi, the Islamic delegation received the approval of President Tinubu to engage in discussions with the coup leaders in Niger Republic, acting on behalf of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).
The Ulamas visited the State House to provide President Tinubu with a briefing on their discussions with General Abdourahamane Tchiani, the head of the junta in Niger Republic.
Subsequently, a statement released by the Presidency revealed that President Tinubu has authorized the Islamic leaders to return to Niger Republic for another round of dialogues with the military junta.
