The contentious issue at hand revolved around President Bola Tinubu’s educational credentials. Omokri had previously gone on record stating that he had personally verified President Tinubu’s attendance at Chicago State University. However, during an appearance on ARISE TV’s morning show, Oseni had challenged this claim, suggesting that the university had denied any knowledge of Tinubu ever attending.
Omokri has now gone on the offensive, revealing that following his efforts to set the record straight, he faced intimidation from Oseni. In his words, “Rufai Oseni called my brother and threatened my life, all because I insisted Tinubu attended Chicago State University.”
Omokri continued, “After I Exposed Him As a Liar, Rufai Oseni Called My Brother and Threatened My Life, Because I Insisted Tinubu Attended Chicago State University.” He added, “Hear Rufai Oseni Threatening That “Reno Would Not Exist”, All Because I Exposed His Lie On Air About Tinubu Not Attending Chicago State University.”
He delved deeper into the controversy, explaining, “Rufai Oseni lied on air, on Monday, November 28, 2022, that Chicago State University was subpoenaed and that on the basis of that subpoena, Chicago State University denied that Bola Tinubu attended their university.” Omokri then challenged the validity of this statement by producing recent evidence from the university confirming Tinubu’s attendance and graduation.
Omokri expressed his frustration with the misinformation, stating, “How can a purported journalist be feeding lies to the general public and calling it news? And his employers will allow him call the person who actually said the truth a liar?” He further urged, “I now challenge AriseTV and Rufai Oseni to publicly produce the so-called subpoena.”
He didn’t stop there. Omokri recalled a previous incident involving Oseni, noting, “Just Two Months Ago, Rufai Oseni Petitioned The Police Alleging a Threat to His Life. Now Hear Him Threatening My Life Because I Exposed His Lie About Tinubu Not Attending Chicago State University.”
The controversy surrounding President Bola Tinubu’s educational background has sparked a lot of debate in recent months, and this recent revelation adds another layer of complexity to the ongoing saga. The public now eagerly awaits any response from Rufai Oseni and ARISE TV.
