Shettima assured the people that in the coming weeks and months, the government would unveil numerous programs aimed at improving the lives of citizens.

He highlighted the government’s interest in the wheat production scheme in Borno and the forthcoming discussions with the governor on reigniting this initiative for the benefit of the state and the nation as a whole.

Additionally, Shettima revealed that President Tinubu had approved N50 billion, through the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), to restart the Puulaku Initiative in the North West, as a non-kinetic approach to address regional challenges.

The vice president also announced President Tinubu’s approval for the construction of 1,000 houses in Sokoto, Kebbi, Zamfara, Kaduna, Niger, and Benue states, with auxiliary facilities including clinics and schools. He emphasized that these initiatives would prioritize inclusivity in Benue and Kaduna states.

Shettima urged Nigerians to be patient and supportive as the administration prepared to deliver on its promises. He represented Tinubu in commissioning school and health projects completed by Governor Babagana Zulum to mark his 100 days in office, commending the governor for his exemplary leadership and commitment to delivering dividends of democracy to the people.

The Shehu of Borno, in his welcome address, highlighted security challenges in his emirate and the need for increased support to fully revive economic activities.

He congratulated President Tinubu and Kashim for their victory at the election tribunal and called for unity and cooperation among political opponents to move the nation forward.
