Military Seizes Artillery Projectile Launchers From IPOB And ESN Camp In Anambra

These dissident fighters were targeted by the troops, who seized not only the artillery weapons armed with projectiles but also various other items, as the fighters fled their camp upon the arrival of the advancing troops.
According to Brig Gen Onyema Nwachukwu, the Director of Army Public Relations, one member of the dissident group was apprehended during the operation.
Several items were recovered, including 48 rounds of 7.62 mm NATO ammunition, four mobile phones, a handheld communication radio, and substances suspected to be cannabis, among other things.
In a separate operation carried out on the same day, troops from the 34 Artillery Brigade conducted an offensive against oil thieves in Oguta Local Government Area of Imo State.
The troops uncovered and seized various items from the camp, including a crude oil cooking oven, reservoirs, connecting hoses, mobile phones, a power-generating set, pumping machines, a CCTV camera mounted on a treetop, substances suspected to be cannabis, and fetish objects.
Additionally, the same troops conducted a similar operation, discovering and dismantling an illegal oil refining site. This site was engaged in the unauthorized refining of crude oil and contained numerous drums and crude oil ovens filled with stolen crude oil.
In a dugout pit, they found 50,000 liters of crude oil and 57 sacks of illegally refined automation gas oil, which were concealed in a community health center at Egbema Shell and Egbema West in Ohaji/Egbema Local Government Area of Imo State.
