This fund will also encompass various expenses and entitlements intended for the families of the fallen heroes of the Nigerian Armed Forces.

The President made this commitment on Wednesday during the launch of the Emblem Appeal Fund for the 2024 Armed Forces Remembrance Day at the State House in Abuja.

Furthermore, Tinubu reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering support for the country’s Armed Forces and its determination to revitalize the Army.

“We are deeply indebted to our brave troops who have risen to the challenge of safeguarding this great nation. In recognition of the sacrifices made by the men and women of our Armed Forces and to underscore the commitment of this government to their well-being, I have approved a sum of N18 billion to cover the payment of Group Life Assurance benefits and other rightful entitlements to the families of service members who lost their lives in the line of duty.”
