Represented by his deputy, Edward Onoja, Bello confidently asserted that the APC would secure a substantial victory in the upcoming elections.
He declared, “With our significant accomplishments across all sectors, particularly in the area of security, we are highly optimistic that it will inspire our citizens to participate actively in the electoral process.”
“Our remarkable achievements, which are evident, will serve as a testament to our commitment, and we have the utmost assurance that we will win decisively.
We will collaborate with the Armed Forces to ensure a peaceful election and provide a level playing field for all candidates, enabling our people to turn out in large numbers to cast their votes.”
“Kogi residents are known for their peaceful nature. Since the inception of our administration, we have made the security of lives and property a top priority.
We want to reassure our President, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, of the stability and peace that will prevail before, during, and after the gubernatorial election.”
“We also extend our appreciation to the Chief of Defence Staff for the measures taken to facilitate a peaceful election in the state.”
In response, the Chief of Defence Staff assured the governor of the readiness of the Armed Forces to ensure a peaceful, free, and fair election in Kogi State.
“The Armed Forces are here to serve the people of the state. I encourage the people to turn out in large numbers to cast their votes.
The Armed Forces are committed to ensuring a transparent and equitable election, allowing citizens to enjoy the benefits of democracy. Therefore, I urge eligible voters to come out and exercise their right to vote,” he stated.
