Justice Tsoho praised Wike for his dedicated service and requested the FCT Minister to provide land to active Federal High Court judges as a means of acknowledging their contributions on a national scale.

He emphasized the necessity for the three branches of government to collaborate, each maintaining its independence.

In response, Wike reaffirmed his unwavering respect for both the judiciary and the legislature, underscoring his belief in the equality and autonomy of all three branches of government.

He mentioned that President Bola Tinubu had already authorized him to allocate land to key officials in these branches and outlined plans to distribute land in phases due to the significant number of beneficiaries.

Wike stated, “As you correctly pointed out, I believe that all three branches of government must work in tandem while maintaining their independence.

Without a strong judiciary, our democracy cannot endure. The vital role played by the judiciary in our country’s discourse highlights the importance of strengthening this branch, which is not too demanding.

Previously, the President granted me permission to allocate land to the legislature, the executive, and the judiciary.

The challenge now is the method of allocation, given the substantial number of recipients. Our solution is to phase this process because accommodating everyone simultaneously is not feasible.”
