The court’s three-judge panel declared the Zamfara State governorship election inconclusive on Thursday, mandating a rerun in three local government areas: Maradun, Birnin-Magaji, and Bukkuyum.

In a statement released on Friday by the governor’s spokesman, Sulaiman Bala Idris, it was asserted that Governor Lawal was elected in response to discontent with the prevailing conditions in the state.

The statement emphasized that the outcome of the governorship election on March 18 accurately mirrored the people’s desire for positive development and progress.

He further stated, “We will emerge victorious. Our unwavering determination and steadfast commitments leave no room for doubt or fear.”
