According to the State’s Commissioner of Police, CP Aliyu Abubakar Musa, the operation occurred during a joint patrol with a vigilante group in the Kwarare area of Jibia LGA. Suspected bandits opened fire on the patrol team, but the officers bravely returned fire, causing the criminals to flee.
The bodies of three identified bandit leaders, Bala Wuta, Dogo Na Sahara, and Hassan Bukuru, were recovered, along with an operational motorcycle.
The CP commended the officers and urged citizens to provide timely information for enhanced security.
