Speaking at the Endeavor Nigeria’s Annual Scale Up Entrepreneurship Summit held on Tuesday at the Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, the governor emphasized the importance of utilizing technology to address issues such as food security, an efficient intermodal transportation system, quality healthcare service delivery, and education.

Governor Sanwo-Olu highlighted that his administration recognizes the pivotal role of government in the evolving global ecosystem, aiming to facilitate the unlocking of potentials by providing critical infrastructure and implementing policies to streamline business processes.

He outlined specific initiatives supporting the tech and entrepreneurial ecosystem, including the ongoing installation of fiber optics to enhance internet connectivity.

Furthermore, the governor cited the impact of the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund, which has facilitated loans totaling over N8.4 billion for more than 12,710 Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Additionally, he underscored efforts to boost agricultural productivity through the Agri-preneurship (L.A.P) intervention, designed to expose young entrepreneurs to the potential of the agricultural value chain using modern technology-enabled techniques for job and wealth creation.

Governor Sanwo-Olu emphasized the government’s commitment to prioritizing and investing in initiatives that deepen the integration of technology into processes and ideas, aiming to provide sustainable solutions to local challenges and achieve policy objectives in areas such as food security, efficient transportation, healthcare, and education.
