The trial, initiated by the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in Abuja, saw three witnesses absolving Emefiele of any wrongdoing in the N1.2bn vehicle supply contracts awarded by the CBN during his tenure.
In response to this development, AYM, represented by its leader Kabiru Yusuf, conveyed in a statement that the statements made by the witnesses clearly vindicate the embattled former CBN governor, suggesting that he has been unfairly targeted for months.
Yusuf also highlighted various unfounded accusations against Emefiele and instances of the anti-graft agency’s non-compliance with court orders.
