I am an Esan man that cannot hide his identity with diluted conflicting names but with a clear objective mind. Ordinary, I would not bother to respond to a watery diatribe from an unknown quantity hired by a group of shameless politicians  known for their penchant for mischief.

I am also careful not to bring the name of a great Esan patriot who have done so much for Esanland in many ramifications into unnecessary media highlights for puerile reasons. However, I am  constrained to respond to this hired character assassin self christened Monday Isibor who has just woken up from his slumber to express the frustration of his paymasters who have finally hit their disgraceful end in political adventure. The biblical voice of Jacob in the hand of Esau is playing out in this misinformed stunt from a political jobber called isibor.

I have admired our People’s General like many other respected Esan men,women and youths for taking many youths out of the street and his many other contributions to the development of Esanland. I also watched with keen interest the screening exercise which you have laboured to denigrate without success. A respected Aspirant who participated in that exercise came up to stoutly defend it by publicly defining the processes .

Firstly, he attested to the fact that a meeting was held where all the Aspirants and the Leaders of the Senatorial District decided that the list of Aspirants were unwieldy and there was the need to prune it down.Secondly the Aspirants were asked to talk to themselves to reduce the number and if they were unable to achieve this,then the Leadership would devise a transparent method to prune it down.

Thirdly,the Aspirants that took part were not coerced as they all subjected themselves to the screening, declared that they had no objection to the membership of the panel and would abide by the results.There was a clear declaration that the screening was not legally but morally binding. 

It was in good faith and it didn’t close the door to any change of mind Aspirants who may decide to continue with his aspiration without minding the implications for a greater Esan aspiration.

The chief sponsor of this article is known in Esan political circle as a shameless character who is notorious through criminality and banditry . He can do anything for money including collecting money from opposing political parties to the detriment of his party.

He has since the screening exercise been crying and sulking because he collected money from some Aspirants and told them he would be a member of the screening panel. Has isibor suddenly developed selective amnesia by feigning ignorance to the criteria mentioned at a press briefing? Contribution to party,plan for development of the State,financial capability,electability,geopolitics were clearly enumerated by the press.

The unfortunate thing about Isibor is that his pay masters cannot and can never compare themselves to the People’s General who has earned the trust Esan people. A man that is widely admired and respected in Nigeria and Edo State. A professional soldier, an Academician(,PhD) a Diplomat having headed Nigeria’s biggest military mission in the UK. I also know that in politics he is highly respected for not taking money from politicians.

I challenge any politician who has given money to General to come up boldly with evidence to contradict this statement. Let it be known to the isibors and co- travellers that there are some meat you don’t eat and there some elders you don’t insult. There is a price you pay for indiscretion. 

My humble self and the teeming youths in Esanland would defend this great man of honour Gen Cecil in all ramifications . Your sponsors would soon acknowledge that there is limit to rascality and irresponsibility.  On clear fact you couldn’t bury is the he is the undisputed leader of the Senatorial District. This is a poisoned chalice to  your sponsors.If you are truly who you are,please come up for a debate with clear identity.  BASKET OF DEPLORABLES.

I will humbly request our General not to be distracted as posterity will judge you favourably.
