The statement conveyed the ACF’s satisfaction with the response from the Federal and Kaduna State Governments, as well as various organizations and the public, towards the victims of the December 7, 2023, bomb attack in Tudun Biri, Kaduna State. The ACF applauded the visits by government delegations, including the Vice President, National Assembly committee members, the National Security Advisor, Ministers of Defence, Governors under the Northern Governors’ Forum, the Chief of Army Staff, and other public figures who consoled the bereaved families and sympathized with the injured victims.

The ACF highlighted the commendable promises of compensation, free treatment, and donations made by various entities. Looking ahead, the ACF called for the prompt fulfillment of all commitments to Tudun Biri and the implementation of robust measures to ensure transparent delivery of relief to the victims. It strongly cautioned against allowing corrupt individuals to divert relief materials, a common issue in the aftermath of disasters.

The statement outlined the ACF’s commitment to monitoring and commenting on the situation through its Kaduna State Chapter as needed. Acknowledging the challenging economic conditions, the ACF urged relevant public agencies, organizations, and individuals to immediately provide relief materials to the Tudun Biri community.

While welcoming the establishment of a panel to investigate the tragedy, the ACF expressed hope that the investigations would be thorough and expedited, as promised by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The ACF stressed the importance of taking measures to prevent similar incidents, urging the armed forces to proactively avert future occurrences like the one in Tudun Biri and elsewhere.
