In a statement released by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Eseme Eyiboh, in Abuja, Akpabio encouraged Nigerians to not only revel in the festivities but also to pray for the nation and its leaders. He urged citizens to demonstrate love towards one another and contemplate the life of Jesus Christ, emphasizing humility, sacrifice, love for neighbors, and loyalty to God and constituted authority.
Akpabio expressed confidence in the current administration, particularly under President Bola Tinubu, urging Nigerians not to lose faith in their leaders. He stated, “I am confident that with your prayers and support, the current administration will wipe away your tears in the no distant time.”
During the festive season, Akpabio extended warm wishes, stating, “May Jesus’ birth echo within us all, guiding our thoughts, our words, and our actions.” He emphasized the importance of spreading love and kindness, acknowledging that small acts of goodwill can bring light to even the darkest corners of the world.
Amidst the glittering lights and festive cheer, Akpabio reminded Nigerians to reflect on the true reason for the season—the birth of Jesus Christ. In a world facing uncertainty and challenges, he highlighted Jesus as a beacon of hope, providing solace and assurance to those who seek Him.
Meanwhile, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, the Leader of the Senate, celebrated Christmas with his constituents in Ekiti Central, distributing 3,000 bags of rice across the state as a gesture of goodwill and solidarity.
