According to Olumekun, the decision to enforce this policy was based on the Federal Government circular HSCF/SPSO/268/T3/2/37 issued on July 27. The commission has officially approved the retirement of four directors in accordance with this directive. Among them, two serve as heads of departments at the national headquarters, while the other two hold positions as administrative secretaries in state offices.
However, it is important to note that clinical officers in the medical cadre are exempted from this retirement policy, as clarified in Circular MH. 7205/T/31, dated September 7, said Olumekun.
The commission expressed its well wishes to the departing directors as they retire from their years of service.
