In his New Year message, the NYSC DG pledged increased zeal and dedication from himself and the Scheme’s staff in the discharge of their responsibilities throughout the year. He underscored the need for Nigerians to embrace patriotism and recommit to the principles of nation-building for the betterment of the country.

Addressing Corps members directly, Brig. General YD Ahmed urged them to maintain peaceful coexistence with their host communities, emphasizing the avoidance of actions that could tarnish the image of the nation, the NYSC Scheme, and their families. He encouraged diligence in assigned duties, urging continued hard work for the progress and success of the Scheme.

Reflecting on the lessons learned in 2023, the NYSC DG expressed optimism that these experiences would guide the NYSC towards success in the coming year. He called for the sustenance of exemplary work ethics and the upholding of the Scheme’s integrity as key priorities moving forward.
