The donation ceremony, held at the Lagos House, Marina, included the presence of Mr. Kehinde Durosinmi-Etti, Chairman of LSSTF, Dr. Abdurrazak Balogun, the Executive Secretary/CEO of LSSTF, and other state officials along with members of the LSSTF Board of Directors, as outlined in a statement released on Wednesday.
Represented by his daughter, Olawunmi Otedola, Mr. Femi Otedola, who serves as the Chairman of Geregu Power Plc and is the son of the late Sir Michael Otedola, the Third Republic Governor of Lagos State, expressed his commitment to supporting the state’s security efforts.
Governor Sanwo-Olu praised the significant donation as the largest individual contribution to the Lagos State Security Trust Fund, emphasizing its potential to enhance a more secure and conducive business environment. He highlighted the positive impact on both investors and residents, fostering economic benefits and peace.
Expressing gratitude on behalf of the LSSTF, Governor Sanwo-Olu urged other well-meaning Nigerians and corporate entities to follow Mr. Otedola’s example and contribute generously to the fund. Emphasizing the limitless possibilities for support, the governor revealed the government’s commitment to providing 300 vehicles to the Fund in the first quarter of the year.
