During a visit to Governor Abba Yusuf in Kano, the Minister of Trade and Investment, Doris Nkiruka Uzoka-Anite, conveyed the government’s unwavering commitment to advancing the economy and diminishing poverty levels, as reported by NAN.

Minister Uzoka-Anite reiterated President Bola Tinubu’s administration’s resolute focus on initiatives such as job creation, increased access to capital, economic expansion, and the eradication of poverty to reinvigorate the economy.

She underscored that the government, under Tinubu’s leadership, remains steadfast in its determination to safeguard businesses operating within the country. The minister emphasized that the ministry is diligently working, aligned with the eight-point agenda of Tinubu’s administration, to revive industries and create more employment opportunities.

The purpose of her visit to Kano was outlined as an assessment of the current level of industrialization and the collection of data on pressing challenges requiring immediate attention to facilitate the revival of industrial development.

Uzoka-Anite asserted the ministry’s commitment to boosting the export of value-added products, aiming to explore comparative advantages effectively.

In response, Governor Abba Yusuf’s representative, Chief of Staff Alhaji Shehu Sagagi, expressed the administration’s dedication to enhancing small-scale industries, underscoring the state’s significance as a commercial hub in sub-Saharan Africa.
