Speculations arose suggesting that Kwankwaso, the national leader of NNPP, had entered into an agreement with Tinubu before the Supreme Court’s decision. Kwankwaso refuted these claims, emphasizing that there was no agreement with anyone and asserting that the Supreme Court judges acted in accordance with justice.

He clarified, stating, “To the best of my knowledge, I have not reached an agreement with anybody. We founded the APC together and participated fully in the subsequent struggles. Kwankwaso assured that there was no conflict, expressing that both NNPP and the ruling party could collaborate when necessary. He stated, “There is no problem. They have their party; we have our own. We will work together where necessary.
