Oluwaseun Osiyemi, the Commissioner for Transportation, disclosed this information on Friday. According to Osiyemi, the diversion is scheduled to take effect from Friday, January 19, through February 29, 2024.

As part of the traffic advisory, the following areas will be affected, along with the corresponding alternative routes provided:

1. Motorists on Kayode Street heading towards Mushin will be redirected to Ikorodu Road, proceeding to Jibowu and then Moshalashi (Empire) to connect Agege Motor Road for their intended destinations.
2. Alternatively, motorists from Majolate Street (Kayode junction) can take Matanmi Street, then proceed through Giwa Street en route to Ayonuga Street to reach their desired destinations.
3. Motorists on Olateju Street will be diverted to Coker Street, connecting to Agege Motor Road to continue their journeys.
4. For those on Ijaye, Ogunsanya, and Awoyejo Streets, the advised route is to connect Adedoja Street and then link Alhaji Lasisi for their desired destinations.

Commissioner Osiyemi emphasized that certain streets, namely Ago-Owu, Adeniyi Streets, and Lawanson Crescent, will be cordoned off from entering Kayode Street during this period.

He assured motorists that the Lagos State Traffic Management Personnel will be present on-site to assist them in navigating through the construction zones throughout the entire construction period.
