Prominent political commentator, Deji Adeyanju, has taken aim at the incumbent Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, for asserting that the presidential candidate of the PDP, Atiku Abubakar, has not reached out to him with a call or text message to offer condolences following the Ibadan bomb blast weeks ago. Makinde made these claims against the former vice president during a visit to the Oyo State Government House, where Peter Obi paid his respects over the tragic incident that claimed lives.

It is worth noting that Makinde was among the PDP members who opposed his party’s choice, throwing his support behind President Tinubu alongside members of the G-5, with Wike as the leader of the rebel group.
Deji, expressing his sentiments through his social media handle, stated: “Who is Seyi that Atiku should reach out to him? Not that Atiku is any different. He should reclaim his outreach from Tinubu, whom he voted for. And, at the very least, Obi has also extended his condolences. Let him hold on to that. It’s disheartening to see politicians playing games with the misfortunes of innocent people.”
