The community’s residents sought safety to avoid stray bullets as the kidnappers swiftly escaped with the victim in their boat during the late hours of the night. The Nation reports that the kidnappers have since contacted Temitope’s family, demanding the specified ransom for her release.

An undisclosed source revealed, “The kidnappers shot sporadically into the air until they sped away with their victim in a boat at the wee hour of the night.” Subsequently, security forces were alerted, leading to several arrests related to the kidnapping. The apprehended individuals are currently in the custody of the Nigerian Navy at the Forward Operational Base in Igbokoda, Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo State.
