During a press briefing at the state Police Command Headquarters in Lafia, Nadada disclosed that a total of 57 suspects had been arrested by the Police Command since January 1. Among the detainees were three alleged kidnappers, three armed robbery suspects, twenty individuals suspected of fraud, as well as others accused of rape and motorcycle/vehicle theft.

One notable case involved the abduction of a five-year-old boy in Keffi, leading to the arrest of Ismaila Adamu, a participant in a child theft syndicate. Subsequent investigations resulted in the apprehension of additional suspects engaged in the unlawful abduction and sale of children.

Nadada revealed that a thorough analysis of the suspects’ mobile phones unveiled evidence of 45 children being stolen and illicitly adopted by unwitting individuals across the country.
