Commissioner Anomon emphasized the need to appreciate the outstanding ethical behavior demonstrated by certain officers and members of the 40 PMF while conducting a stop-and-search at the Kwanti-Napu checkpoint along the Jalingo-Yola road.

On the 29th of the previous month, the officers stationed at the checkpoint intercepted a Toyota Starlet carrying three passengers. Acting on their instincts, a thorough search revealed N8.555 million in the vehicle. Despite the substantial bribe offered by the suspects, the officers, according to CP Anomon, remained resolute in their commitment to upholding the law and declined the illicit offer.

The Commissioner praised their conduct as “in line with the zero tolerance to corruption mantra of the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun,” emphasizing the importance of their actions as an example for others within the Force.

The honored officers include Inspector Difference Tih, Inspector Ngamarju Gambi, Inspector Usman Haruna, and CPL Zarudeen Mamuda. Speaking to journalists, the officers underscored their dedication to combating corrupt practices and contributing to the growth of the Nigerian Police Force and the nation as a whole.
