According to a statement released by Grace Iringe-Koko, the Rivers State Police Public Relations Officer, Inspector Michael Odey has been dismissed, while ASP Doubara Edonyabor and ASP Talent Mungo have been suspended from their duties.

The dismissal of Inspector Michael Odey was announced following a thorough review conducted by the Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone 16, and orderly room proceedings. The decision, effective from February 7, 2024, underscores the seriousness with which the police are addressing the misconduct.

The statement emphasized that the suspension of ASP Doubara Edonyabor and ASP Talent Mungo has been officially sanctioned by the Police Service Commission (PSC). The PPRO, Grace Iringe-Koko, reiterated that the actions taken align with the commitment to uphold integrity within the police force.
