El-Rufai’s Son Defends Father, Denies Anti-Christian Stance Amid Controversy....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai’s son, Bello El-Rufai, has strongly denied accusations that his father holds anti-Christian sentiments. Speaking on a widely circulated podcast with Seun Okinbaloye, Bello emphasized that one of the closest individuals to his father is a Christian named Peter Jones from Cross Rivers state.
Bello bolstered his argument by pointing out that during his father’s tenure as the Minister in charge of the Federal Capital Territory, both mosques and churches were demolished. He asserted that his father is a straightforward person who doesn’t go out of his way to alter public opinions about him.
In his words, “My father is a very simple person who’s been stereotyped a lot. I got a video of him where people say this or that about him without even knowing him. My father does not go out of his way to change what people think about him. He doesn’t really care.”
Addressing the perception that Nasir El-Rufai is anti-Christian, Bello highlighted the diverse relationships in his father’s life, stating, “The closest person to him since we (children) were four years old was a man from Cross River State, Peter Jones. Religion is personal to us.”
Bello further pointed out that his father’s actions, such as the demolition of both mosques and churches during his time as Minister, were not driven by religious bias. He suggested that the criticism might be directed at the wrong religious leaders who had issues, rather than at his father.
This clarification comes amidst ongoing debates and controversies surrounding Nasir El-Rufai’s alleged stance on Christianity.
