Law Enforcement Successfully Apprehends Two Infamous Kidnapping Suspects From Most-Wanted List

In a recent development, the Adamawa State Police Command announced the apprehension of two suspected kidnappers who had been previously identified on the command’s wanted list. The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Nguroje, released a statement on Monday providing details of the successful operation.

The arrest was the outcome of a collaborative effort between the state police command’s operatives and local hunters. The operation was prompted by intelligence regarding the suspects’ activities in Ngurore, located in the Yola South Local Government Area.

The individuals in custody have been identified as Ahmed Muhammad, a resident of Song Local Government Area, and Muhammed Haruna, residing in Jambutu, Yola North Local Government Area.

According to the statement, the suspects stand accused of kidnapping Saddam Ahmadu from Belel in Maiha Local Government and Buba Adamu from Shani Local Government Area, Borno State. The suspects allegedly extorted a total ransom of N4,700,000 from the victims’ relatives.

Remarkably, during the apprehension, law enforcement recovered an AK-47 Assault rifle along with 25 rounds of live ammunition from the suspects. The successful operation highlights the collaborative efforts of the Adamawa State Police Command and local hunters in combating criminal activities within the region.
