Last year proved to be challenging for DJ Cuppy due to her difficulty in declining opportunities and expressing disapproval towards Ryan Taylor’s proposal.

During a recent international event, DJ Cuppy shared her newfound realization that it’s perfectly acceptable to refuse.

Reflecting on her experiences, DJ Cuppy stated:

“One of the things I have learned is saying no. I had one of the worst years of my life last year because I couldn’t say no. I didn’t say no to opportunities that I should have said no to. I didn’t say no to a fiancé I should’ve said no to. I didn’t say no to taking things on.

“I was at the BBC; I had a morning breakfast show, then I was DJing, I was planning a wedding, I was in Oxford University. I burnt myself out. And none of us are either good to ourselves or other people when we burnt out. So, we have to deal with that guilt that comes with saying no. It’s okay to say no.”

DJ Cuppy’s engagement to Ryan Taylor ended in July 2023, just seven months after their surprise engagement in November 2022. Since then, the two have ceased communication and removed traces of their relationship from social media.

In December 2023, DJ Cuppy publicly acknowledged the end of her engagement, emphasizing the importance of learning to say “no” to avoid future regrets.
