Macdon explained that upon receiving a report of the purported kidnapping, the Anti-abduction Squad of the command swiftly tracked down the suspects to their hideout.

The statement revealed that the couple had purportedly requested a ransom of N4 million from Imaobong’s family.

“In response, operatives of the Anti-Kidnapping Squad of the command launched an extensive and intelligence-driven investigation to apprehend the culprits and secure the victim’s release.

“The supposed victim, Imaobong Sampson, and her partner, Beltus Ebong, were apprehended at their hiding place in Mbierebe Obio Village, Ibesikpo Asutan L.G.A,” he stated.
