In a jubilant gesture, Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani hosted a celebratory dinner for the 137 Kuriga schoolchildren who were recently released from captivity by bandits, as announced earlier this week.

Reminiscent of their harrowing ordeal, these schoolchildren endured two weeks in the clutches of the bandits before regaining their freedom and being entrusted to the care of the Kaduna State Government.

Governor Sani took to his verified Facebook page to share the news of the banquet he arranged for the released Kuriga schoolchildren. In his post, he expressed his delight at joining the children for dinner, noting their upbeat spirits and palpable eagerness to resume their studies.

Highlighting the government’s commitment to their well-being, Governor Sani emphasized that efforts were underway to ensure the children receive optimal physical and psychological support. He affirmed that they are receiving top-notch medical care and psychological counseling to aid their recovery process.
