In a recent operation, the Delta State Police Command successfully apprehended a suspect believed to be involved in ritualistic activities. The individual, identified as Favour Eze, a 24-year-old male hailing from Amasiri Village in Afikpo LGA, Ebonyi State, was taken into custody along with several incriminating items.

Among the items seized were a locally crafted pistol and illicit substances suspected to be Loud, all concealed within a bag of clothing. The arrest occurred during a routine stop-and-search operation conducted by Dragon Tactical Patrol Teams along the Ogwashi-Uku/Kwale Road. The suspect was traveling in a red commercial Toyota Sienna space van from Asaba to Warri when the authorities intercepted the vehicle and its passengers.

Furthermore, a separate operation led by ASP Julius Robinson and his team in Ughelli resulted in the arrest of a 28-year-old individual linked to the Eiye Confraternity in Oghara, Delta State. Subsequent investigations led to the apprehension of another suspect, aged 46, at a hotel in Koko Junction, Oghara, where an automatic pump-action gun was recovered.

Following interrogation, the suspects provided crucial information leading to the arrest of an additional 32-year-old individual in Sapele, Delta State. During this operation, law enforcement recovered a new AK-47 rifle and an empty magazine.

Preliminary findings indicate that these suspects may be connected to a string of kidnappings in Ughelli, Warri, Sapele, and surrounding areas. The investigation remains ongoing as the suspects remain in custody.
