Peter Obi’s Electoral Success: Lamido’s Exile Boast Exposed By Sam Amadi....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Sam Amadi, the director of the Abuja School of Social and Political Thoughts, recently disclosed an intriguing anecdote involving Sule Lamido, the former governor of Jigawa State, and Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP). Amadi claimed that Lamido once boldly asserted that he would exile himself if Obi managed to secure one million votes in the presidential election. This revelation surfaced through a post on Amadi’s X account.
This revelation emerged following Obi’s visit to Lamido, a notable figure in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who served as governor from 2007 to 2015. Reflecting on this encounter, Amadi acknowledged the nuanced nature of politics, which can oscillate between seriousness and levity. Despite the gravity of electoral dynamics, he commended the newfound amity between the two politicians.
In his post, Amadi reminisced about a strategic session for Atiku, during which he advocated for taking Peter Obi seriously due to his ability to mobilize youth support. In response, Lamido purportedly issued the audacious claim that should Obi garner one million votes, he would voluntarily enter exile.
Meanwhile, Timothy Osadolor, the Deputy National Youth Leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), welcomed the recent meeting between Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, and other key figures within the political landscape. Osadolor expressed relief that such gatherings, aimed at fostering unity among opposition forces, are finally materializing. He emphasized the importance of consolidating opposition strength to challenge the incumbent administration effectively.
Osadolor stressed the necessity of lawful and concerted efforts to rescue Nigeria from its current challenges. With Umar Damagum, the acting National Chairman of the PDP, overseeing these developments, Osadolor expressed confidence in the party’s support for Atiku, Saraki, and Lamido. He interpreted these interactions as strategic maneuvers to unify disparate political factions into a formidable coalition capable of not only unseating the ruling party but also steering the nation toward stability and progress.
