However, Acting President of the Nigeria Labour Congress, Prince Adewale Adeyanju, countered this claim in a statement, clarifying that negotiations had concluded without agreement on the base figure. He specified divergent figures of N250,000 from Organized Labour and N62,000 from the government and private sector, which were not consolidated into a final agreement. Adeyanju emphasized that any assertion of consensus was inaccurate and urged clarity to prevent misunderstanding among stakeholders.

 

The issue remains unresolved, with implications for ongoing discussions on the national minimum wage.
