Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, highlighted this in a statement on Friday.

During the meeting with France’s Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs, Catherine Colonna, President Tinubu expressed gratitude for the return of the Abacha loot and appreciated France’s effective collaboration.

The president reassured that the repatriated funds would be used for Nigeria’s developmental goals.

Tinubu welcomed the increasing cooperation between the nations in climate change, economic integration, education, and culture.

Furthermore, he acknowledged the signing of a €100 million agreement between Nigeria and France to support the i-DICE program, aimed at fostering investment in Information and Communications Technology (ICT) and Creative Arts Industries.

Regarding the Abacha loot, the French Presidential Envoy noted that the repatriation came after fulfilling legal procedures and deemed it a significant accomplishment, despite the lengthy process.
