Abductors Of Edo PDP Chairman Remain Silent: Still No Contact Made....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Two days have passed since the abduction of Mr. Tony Aziegbemi, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chapter chairman in Edo State, yet his family and political associates remain in the dark as no communication has been established with the abductors. The incident occurred near his residence in Benin City, perpetrated by unknown gunmen following a late-night meeting at the Government House.

Despite efforts by the police, including the deployment of tactical teams, there have been no significant developments in the case. The absence of any contact from the abductors has heightened concerns among Aziegbemi’s family members and associates, compounded by the fact that his phone, crucial for communication, was left behind with his driver.

State authorities, including the government and security agencies, have assured the public of their commitment to ensuring Aziegbemi’s safe return. The Commissioner for Communication and Orientation, Chris Nehikhare, emphasized increased surveillance and security measures across the state to address criminal activities effectively. Residents have been urged to report any suspicious individuals or activities promptly.

The abduction has sparked widespread condemnation, with political figures like Asue Ighodalo, the PDP governorship candidate, expressing shock and distress. Ighodalo condemned the act, calling for concerted efforts by security agencies to investigate the matter and secure Aziegbemi’s release.

Additionally, the Labour Party (LP) in Edo State decried the incident, attributing it to the inadequate security infrastructure in the state. The party highlighted the need for a robust security network to protect citizens and combat criminal activities effectively. It pledged to prioritize security if elected into power, aiming to address issues such as kidnapping and other social vices.

The kidnapping of Mr. Tony Aziegbemi underscores the urgent need for enhanced security measures in Edo State, with calls for swift action to ensure his safe return and to prevent similar incidents in the future.
