Abia Government Cracks Down: Orders Demolition Of Illegal Structures At Isi Gate And Surrounding Areas

In response, the Umuahia Capital Development Authority (UCDA) has issued a directive requiring all unauthorized occupants of these locations to relocate their businesses to government-approved markets.
Kingsley Agomuo, the General Manager of Umuahia Capital Development Authority, conveyed the government’s disapproval of the emergence of illegal motor parks in these areas in a statement.
The Abia State government instructs traders to move to sanctioned markets and advises transporters and loaders to utilize government-approved motor parks.
In addition to these measures, the government mandates landlords in the affected areas who have transformed residential buildings into shops or appended stores to their residences to dismantle these structures before December 1, 2023, or face repercussions from the state authorities.
