The board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) is crucial in spearheading many critical functions aimed at the long-term development of the Niger Delta region. Its primary responsibilities include, among other things, policy formation, project implementation, human capital development, environmental preservation, agricultural promotion, and the provision of necessary social amenities.

These multifaceted roles are aimed at tackling socio-economic challenges, addressing infrastructural deficits, and ultimately elevating the overall living standards within the region.

The event witnessed the presence of the Honorable Minister, Abubakar Momoh, alongside the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Niger Delta Development. Notably, the NDDC Board Chairman, Chiedu Ebie, was also in attendance and formally took the oath of office, accompanied by other state commissioners.
