Abure Belongs In Jail, Not At The Same Table As Peter Obi” – Ndubuaku Fires Shots
The Deputy President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) Political Commission, Professor Theophilus Ndubuaku, has strongly condemned the embattled National Chairman of the Labour Party, Julius Abure, stating that he lacks integrity and belongs in jail.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Ndubuaku insisted that Abure is unfit to lead the Labour Party, emphasizing that the party’s core leadership consists of individuals known for their integrity and transparency.
Speaking in an interview with Punch on Monday, Ndubuaku explained why the NLC refuses to forgive Abure despite the ongoing crisis within the party.
According to him, Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, cannot associate with Abure because of the taint surrounding him. He described Abure as a “ticking time bomb” whose downfall would inevitably affect those around him.
Ndubuaku further claimed that unless Abure resorts to diabolical means, there is no chance of reconciliation between him, Obi, and NLC President Joe Ajaero.
“Forgive who? A criminal who should be behind bars? Does he even understand what integrity means? The issue with Abure is that he doesn’t realize the kind of people he is dealing with. If this were APC or PDP, where individuals with EFCC cases or even ex-convicts are welcomed back into the fold, it would be a different matter. But this is a party built by figures like Otti, Obi, Ajaero, and Osifo—people who have demonstrated transparency and accountability over time.
“Peter Obi cannot sit at the same table as Abure because his reputation is stained. Abure is a disaster waiting to happen, and whoever aligns with him will suffer the consequences when he eventually implodes. What moral standard would we be upholding if we reconcile with someone like him?
“This is a party we built from the ground up, and now an outsider wants to hijack it? And people expect us to make peace with him? Even if Ajaero entertains the thought of reconciliation, he will still consult those of us who have been part of the party’s foundation. If Abure attempts to use charms to manipulate Obi and Ajaero, it simply won’t work,” Ndubuaku declared.
