Dalori made the appeal during his first official address at the National Working Committee (NWC) meeting held in Abuja on Monday.

He acknowledged that political transitions can create tension and uncertainty but warned against using the period to spread division.

“To all party members and stakeholders, I appeal for unity. Transitional periods often bring instability, but we must not let that turn into disunity,” he said. “We must avoid divisive rhetoric and focus on what unites us—our shared commitment to Nigeria’s future and the growth of the APC.”

Dalori also announced that a comprehensive interim roadmap would soon be rolled out to guide party operations. This plan, he said, would focus on discipline, reconciliation, communication, member mobilization, and broader stakeholder engagement.

Dalori extended goodwill to his predecessor, Ganduje, praising his contributions since taking office in August 2023.

“Dr. Ganduje’s leadership brought direction, dedication, and valuable experience to the APC. On behalf of the party, I thank him and wish him strength as he focuses on his health,” Dalori said.

He emphasized that his new role is a responsibility, not a personal triumph, and promised to lead with transparency, inclusivity, and unity.

“This is a time for consolidation, not conflict. For maturity, not division. And for vision, not personal ambition,” he said. “Our focus must remain on delivering good governance, strengthening our internal systems, and preparing for the future.”

Dalori reaffirmed the party’s support for President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, calling it a practical framework already addressing economic, security, and unity challenges.

“The APC is the vehicle for Nigeria’s transformation, and we will stand firmly with the President,” he declared.

During the meeting, APC National Secretary Ajibola Basiru formally presented Ganduje’s resignation letter to the NWC.
