Acting PDP Chairman Damagun Comments On Recent Discussion With Governor MohammedUmar Damagum, the Acting National Chairperson of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), met with Governor Bala Mohammed at the Bauchi State Government House on Friday to discuss pressing issues facing the party. The purpose of the meeting was to facilitate dialogue and seek resolutions to the internal conflicts currently affecting the party.
In his remarks, Damagum stressed the importance of unity and collaboration among party members to effectively address the challenges ahead. Governor Mohammed, who chairs the PDP Governors Forum, reiterated his commitment to supporting Damagum and collaborating with other governors to restore stability and coherence within the party.
Commenting on the meetingās outcome, Damagum stated, āYou can see the chairmen of the North-East PDP with me. They also came here to support me and reaffirm their commitment to unity within the North-East and confidence in the leadership of the governorsā forum chairman. Today, we engaged in a friendly visit to discuss various matters.ā
Damagun also cautioned Nigerians against electing incompetent leaders in the upcoming 2027 general election. He lamented that many Nigerians are suffering due to the policies of President Bola Tinubuās administration. āThere is a need for Nigerians to prioritize credibility when selecting their leaders; those who supported the current government are experiencing the consequences more than anyone else,ā he stated.
