According to the police, the victim’s mobile phone and the drug used to sedate her were recovered from the crime scene. The primary suspect, who had checked into the hotel as a guest, allegedly perpetrated the gruesome act on January 18, 2024, at approximately 9:30 pm. After beheading the young lady, he fled with her decapitated head.

The police spokesperson, Suleiman Nguroje, confirmed the arrests and stated, “The command has so far apprehended three staff (members) of the hotel and recovered the drug and handset of the lady. The drug and handset were recovered at the scene of the crime.” Nguroje also conveyed the commitment of Commissioner of Police, Afolabi Babatola, to apprehending the perpetrator of this heinous crime.

Meanwhile, it has been reported that two individuals, suspected to be connected to the brutal murder, have been captured, although their identities are yet to be disclosed by the police. The authorities continue their efforts to bring all those involved in this shocking incident to justice.
