He alleged that the United States and France had orchestrated a trap to incite a total war in the area.

Garba urged President Bola Tinubu to resist pressure from France and the U.S. to initiate any military action against Niger. Instead, he emphasized the importance of adopting a non-kinetic and diplomatic approach to resolve the crisis.

He further stressed that military intervention could lead to more internal problems for Nigeria and jeopardize the efforts made to build a democratic government.

Garba underscored the need for West Africa to learn from past failures in protecting democracy and prevent repeating the same mistakes, while ensuring the region’s security interests are not compromised by external influences.
