In an interview with ARISE NEWS, Professor Kila highlighted the importance of nominees being representative of their constituencies and having the capacity to address the pressing issues faced by the nation.

He suggested that the Senate should engage in conversations with the nominees to understand their expertise and the specific roles they would fulfill in the government.

Moreover, Professor Kila emphasized the need for setting higher standards in the selection process for future administrations.

While acknowledging that the current cabinet is focused on recovery, he expressed disappointment that the President did not submit the list earlier as expected. He urged future administrations to be more visionary and strategic in their approach to selecting qualified candidates to address the nation’s challenges.
