In a recent update via his X platform, Adejobi explained that officers will be equipped with advanced technology allowing them to verify vehicle documents in real time. With the e-CMR system in place, vehicle owners will not need to carry physical papers, as all necessary information will be accessible digitally.

Furthermore, if a vehicle registered in the e-CMR system is stolen, the owner can promptly report it through their online profile. This will instantly notify police officers across the country, ensuring a swift response.

Adejobi stated, “Inspector-General Egbetokun is transforming road safety with the new e-CMR system. No more manual paper checks—our officers will use state-of-the-art technology for real-time document verification. The system allows for easy, secure digital access to your vehicle information, and alerts all officers if a registered vehicle is reported stolen. Let’s work together to enhance road safety.”
