Adekunle Gold Opens Up On Davido’s Loyalty, Says He Will Ride For Anybody He Loves

Nigerian singer Adekunle Gold has opened up about his friendship with music star Davido, describing him as a genuine friend who remains committed to supporting the people he cares about.

According to Bush Radio Academy, Adekunle Gold, popularly known as AG Baby, made the remarks during an appearance on the One54 Africa Podcast hosted by Akbar Gbajabiamila and Godfrey Danchimah.

Reflecting on Davido’s personality away from the public spotlight, Adekunle Gold praised the singer for his willingness to stand by his friends and associates, stressing that his support extends beyond the music industry.

“Davido will ride for anybody he loves,” Adekunle Gold said.

He further described Davido as a sincere individual who consistently supports members of his circle, noting that the singer’s loyalty is not limited to professional relationships.

Adekunle Gold also recalled how his friendship with Davido grew stronger following their collaboration on the 2021 hit song “High.” According to him, after writing the song, he believed Davido was the right artiste for the record and reached out to him.

The singer recalled that Davido travelled to Los Angeles for the music video shoot, where they reportedly had an enjoyable experience together.

Their musical relationship has continued over the years, with Davido later featuring on “Only God Can Save Me,” a track from Adekunle Gold’s Fuji album.

Beyond their collaborations, the two artistes have also shown support for one another by making surprise appearances at each other’s performances.
