Adeleke Makes Surprise Move, Presents Certificate Of Return To Tinubu

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has presented his Certificate of Return to President Bola Tinubu following his victory in the August 15 governorship election in the state.

Adeleke presented the certificate during a visit to the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Thursday.

According to presidential media aide Dada Olusegun, the governor led a delegation to the State House to express appreciation to President Tinubu following the outcome of the Osun governorship election.

Olusegun disclosed the development in a post on X, stating that President Tinubu received Adeleke and his delegation during the visit.

He wrote:

“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu receives in audience a delegation led by Gov Ademola Adeleke, as he presents his certificate of return to Mr President and gives gratitude for success at the just concluded August 15 governorship election in Osun State.”

The visit came after Tinubu held a closed-door meeting with Adeleke at the Presidential Villa on Thursday.

Adeleke arrived at the State House at about 5:20 p.m. and was driven through the forecourt route to the President’s office, where the two leaders proceeded into a private meeting.

The meeting marked the first known encounter between Tinubu and Adeleke since the Osun State governor secured re-election for a second term in the August 15 governorship election.

Adeleke’s victory saw him retain his position as governor of Osun State for another four-year term.
