The confirmation was made in a statement released by the Governor’s spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, and obtained by Naija News.

This development follows Governor Adeleke’s approval to terminate the original contract, which had stalled for more than 13 years.

Subsequently, the Osun State Ministry of Works and Infrastructure has been instructed to mobilize resources and commence construction on the site without delay.

During a recent discreet visit to the site, Governor Adeleke expressed satisfaction that all legal and contractual barriers have now been removed.

“In line with our administration’s commitment to completing all inherited projects, we have resolved all pending issues, and the Ministry has been directed to begin immediate work,” the governor stated.

He continued, “This project, left untouched for 12 years before we assumed office in 2022, needs urgent attention. We’re determined to complete what was started and nearly finished under former Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola.”

“Since 2023, we’ve worked through the contractual complications, and now the path is clear. Very soon, Osun will begin to benefit from this investment,” Adeleke affirmed.
