Controversial Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has claimed there is a conspiracy within the Nigerian music and Nollywood industries.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

According to Naija News, Portable made the allegation after Nollywood actor Ibrahim Chatta failed to secure any wins at the 11th edition of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA).

Chatta had been nominated for Best Lead Actor for his performance in House of GAA but lost to Femi Adebayo, who starred in Seven Doors.

In a video shared on his Instagram page on Sunday, Portable expressed disappointment over the outcome and accused the industry of bias, claiming that Chatta’s loss was the result of a coordinated snub.

He further alleged that some individuals in the industry are buying awards, suggesting that merit was overlooked.

Portable said:
“My fans, there’s a gang-up in the Nigerian entertainment space, even in Nollywood. Ibrahim Chatta didn’t receive an award at the AMVCA despite his brilliant performance. That’s the same way I was ignored at The Headies.

“We don’t need awards — we need food and money. We have money, but we won’t use it to buy awards like some people do.

“Ibrahim Chatta, if people refuse to recognize you, God will reward you. You’re my boss and mentor — I love you.”
