Adeleke University Announces Free SDF Scholarship Application For 2026/2027 Session

Published

Adeleke University, Ede, has announced the requirements for financially disadvantaged students seeking to benefit from the Springtime Development Foundation (SDF) scholarship programme for the 2026/2027 academic session.

The SDF is a humanitarian, non-profit and non-governmental organisation that has operated its scholarship programme for more than two decades, providing financial and counselling support to students from disadvantaged backgrounds pursuing higher education in recognised Nigerian universities.

According to Bush Radio Academy, the university said prospective applicants are expected to submit several documents as part of the application process. The requirements include a handwritten application letter, four coloured passport photographs, a recommendation letter, a birth certificate or declaration of age, a WAEC or NECO result, and a photocopy of the applicant’s school identity card.

Applicants may also submit any other relevant document they believe could support their application.

The scholarship organisation stated that the application forms are available free of charge, meaning applicants are not required to pay for the forms. However, only shortlisted candidates will be invited to participate in an aptitude test and oral examination as part of the selection process.

Applicants have also been cautioned against providing false information during the application process. The organisation warned that any scholarship awarded based on false declarations could subsequently be terminated.

The scholarship programme is aimed at supporting students facing financial difficulties and helping them pursue their education without the burden of certain financial constraints.
